Coordinator, Global Resource Mobilization

POSITION SUMMARY – This position is based in Arlington, VA

The Global Resource Mobilization (GRM) Department drives CI’s efforts to secure and optimize funding in support of the organization’s strategic priorities. GRM’s mandate spans three interconnected focal areas: revenue mobilization, strategic alignment, and funding optimization. The team works across CI to strengthen partnerships, shape fundraising strategies, and ensure that resources are deployed effectively to maximize conservation impact.

To support this work and strengthen both our Corporate Partnerships and Global Public Partnerships teams, we are recruiting two Coordinators on a 12-month fixed-term contract through a joint hiring process.

Coordinator, Corporate Risk & Partnerships
The Coordinator, Corporate Risk & Partnerships supports the teams in advancing strategic engagement with partners. The role helps ensure smooth partnership management, due diligence, reporting, and internal coordination. Key responsibilities include maintaining partnership operations and data systems, researching sustainability and corporate trends, and providing administrative and logistical support. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Corporate Partnerships and collaborates closely with colleagues across CI’s Programs, Development, Legal, and Finance teams.

Coordinator, Partnership Development
The Coordinator, Partnership Development supports the teams by strengthening public and corporate fundraising efforts. The role provides research, coordination, and operational support across prospect research, donor trend analysis, data and document management, and development of partnership materials. It also ensures efficient internal workflows through systems oversight, contract routing, and administrative coordination. The role reports to the Director, Global Public Partnerships and collaborates closely with colleagues across CI’s Field, Development, Legal, and Finance teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Risk & Due Diligence

  • Manage CI’s corporate due diligence process, ensuring timely reviews, documentation, and compliance
  • Gather information and coordinate across divisions responses to public donor requests
  • Support risk assessments by compiling climate-focused research and ESG data
  • Maintain accurate partnership data (pipelines, proposals, partner records) across CI systems (Raiser’s Edge, SharePoint, Excel models)
  • Support internal coordination across Corporate Partnerships, Global Public Partnerships, Development, Finance, Legal, and other departments
  • Provide administrative support to the VP, Corporate Partnerships and the team, including scheduling, recurring meetings, institutional reporting, training coordination, revenue acknowledgements, and cross-divisional initiatives

Business Development

  • Conduct prospect research and trend tracking for bilateral and multilateral donors (France, Germany, Canada, Australia, World Bank, UN Agencies, etc).
  • Research corporate prospects and sustainability trends to inform engagement strategies.
  • Support data management systems (Raiser’s Edge, PowerBI) and assist with monthly reconciliation with Finance systems (Business World).
  • Oversee SharePoint document management and maintain knowledge repositories for the team.
  • Provide internal coordination and administrative support, including scheduling and meeting preparation for the VP, Outreach & Partnership Development.
  • Support the development and updating of fundraising and partnership materials.
  • Assist account managers with routing agreements for signature.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Typical office environment.
  • Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate global time zones.
  • Occasional travel may be required for fundraising activities or strategic events.
  • This position follows a hybrid work structure, working 10 days per month in CI’s Arlington office. Guidance will be shared during the interview process.
  • This role is a 12-month fixed-term assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in international development, conservation, business sustainability, or advocacy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong research, analytical, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to synthesize and communicate information to diverse audiences.
  • Fluency in MS Office, with strong skills in Excel, SharePoint, and collaboration tools.
  • Service-oriented, with the ability to work courteously and effectively in a team.
  • Ability to work under general supervision and take initiative in problem-solving.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Diplomatic, friendly demeanor and comfort in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience researching sustainability, conservation, or donor trends.
  • Experience handling confidential partner information and financial records.
  • Experience working with Excel datasets.
  • Experience in nonprofit partnerships, corporate engagement, public donors, or related roles.
  • Working knowledge of French, Spanish, or Portuguese.
