Your Opportunity

As the Program Manager for Partners Towards Wellbeing in Keswick, you will guide a team that supports adults over 18 years who are living with co-occurring mental health and alcohol or other drug (AOD) concerns. This is an on-site position that brings together a multidisciplinary team from Mission Australia and Sonder to deliver counselling, care coordination and case management. You will hold responsibility for leading a program that offers a warm and culturally responsive environment for people seeking support with mild to moderate needs through a twelve-week model of care.

Working under the general direction of an Area Manager or Regional Leader, you will ensure that the service is safe, grounded in best practice standards and aligned with contractual and quality expectations. You will be central to building a supportive team culture where peer workers, lived experience workers, clinicians and family practitioners feel valued, heard and equipped to provide meaningful support. This opportunity suits someone who leads with compassion, clarity and steady guidance in a dynamic environment.

This is not a designated lived experience role but people with relevant Lived experience are encouraged to apply.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical oversight, practice leadership and regular supervision to a multidisciplinary team.
  • Lead, support and develop staff including peer workers and lived experience workers to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
  • Maintain strong engagement with the client advisory group and ensure feedback informs ongoing service improvement.
  • Manage program obligations including contract compliance, risk management, reporting, quality requirements and clinical governance.
  • Oversee program budgets, funding requirements, MyTime reconciliation and all associated administrative expectations.
  • Build and strengthen stakeholder relationships with internal teams, external partners and community providers.
  • Respond to on-site incidents, support staff with complex client presentations and ensure culturally safe and responsive practice across the service.

Requirements for Success

  • A minimum of two years experience leading staff, with preference for experience supporting peer workers and lived experience workers.
  • A values led approach grounded in servant leadership, genuine care and steady support for people and teams.
  • Strong understanding of lived experience perspectives and the ability to integrate these respectfully into service delivery.
  • Background in community services, counselling, AOD support, mental health or social work.
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to adapt to diverse audiences and guide staff through complexity.
  • Ability to manage high service demand, competing priorities, detailed administrative responsibilities and dynamic day to day needs.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity, supporting staff with complex cases, and engaging with clients who may be at the fringe of DCP intervention.
  • Full driver licence with no restrictions.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.

Your Benefits

To ensure our employees feel valued, empowered, and celebrated, we provide a range of employee benefits including:

  • Rewarding work – every day you know you’re making a real difference
  • Not-for-profit salary packaging, reducing your tax (details via AccessPay)
  • Free external, confidential counselling and access to chaplaincy support.
  • Volunteering opportunities
  • Extra leave available including an additional public holiday, additional annual leave day on your work anniversary and the opportunity to purchase further annual leave.
