Location: 2nd Floor Customer First Centre, 16 The Forum, Wallsend, NE28 8JR
Working Hours: 37 Hours per week 9am-5pm Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary:£25,110-£32,090

About the role

North Tyneside Recovery Partnership (NTRP) is delivered by Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS foundation trust and Waythrough as the Sub-Contractor since April 2025.

The service has an office base in the centre of Wallsend but we also have a strong outreach approach to meet the needs of service users, therefore, one of the key expectations for the role is flexibility to travel across the area

What You”ll do:

  • Facilitate drop in sessions at local schools to provide education around the risks of substances and engage them in recovery promoting activities.
  • Work collaboratively with statutory and voluntary services to safeguard young people at risk
  • Provide an outreach approach to support the most vulnerable service users
  • Offer drug and alcohol support to young people up to the age of 25
  • Manage a caseload of service users by co-producing 1-1 and group support with an aim of facilitating behaviour change

To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:

  • Knowledge of harm reduction approaches in relation to substance misuse (where relevant to post)
  • The successful candidate will have experience of supporting those in addiction to drugs and alcohol and will be familiar with delivering psychosocial interventions.

  • A working knowledge of safeguarding and good communication skills are also essential as well as experience of managing a caseload.

  • Understanding of and ability to implement interventions, including brief interventions MI, PSIs, CBT and ITEP
  • Carrying out assessment and recovery planning and risk management plans
