We are hiring several highly motivated individuals to join our Mission Systems Engineering Centre Team as
In these positions, the incumbent will be part of one of the two Software Engineering Branches and support the Branches` effort to provide technical support to the project portfolio as well as for managing the product catalogue for all N-E3A mission software, sensor software and ground support software engineering aspects.
In the System Analyst – Software Engineer role, you are responsible for analyzing Weapon System related engineering change requests with respect to engineering of possible solutions and the impact to the design, implementation, integration, verification and validation, operation, certification and life cycle maintenance. The work will be performed mainly in the field of the E-3A mission software, sensor software (e.g. radar software, ESM software) and/or ground support software. Working in a software sustainment environment, you will be responsible to direct, perform and assess a wide variety of system and software related engineering tasks according to defined processes, using accepted engineering practices.
In the Principal Technician – Software Engineering role, you analyze Weapon System related engineering change requests with respect to engineering of possible solutions and the impact to the design, implementation, integration, verification and validation, operation, certification and further maintenance. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
For all candidates
Proven ability to analyze, design, develop, integrate and test systems consisting of hardware, software, firmware and data;
Proven ability to work structured and systematically;
Knowledge of hardware (e.g. UNIX workstations, Personal Computers), firmware and operating systems (e.g. Linux, UNIX, MS Windows);
Proof of experience with multiple computer programming languages;
Be familiar with the latest trends in software engineering, e.g. CI/CD pipelines, containerization, DevSecOps, and AI/ML integration;
Good command of English.

Intermediate knowledge of project management;
Experience in leading a team or project.

YOUR TEAM
We are a specialized engineering entity dedicated to supporting the E-3A AWACS aircraft fleet. Our primary role is to provide technical leadership and engineering services for the onboard mission systems, mission sensor systems (such as surveillance radar), and associated ground support systems.
MSEC maintains unique on-base engineering labs and facilities to facilitate these activities, staffed by an international team of systems engineers, radar software experts, and other specialists. This work ensures the sustained operational readiness and technological evolution of NATO’s airborne early warning and control assets.

CONTRACT
Serving civilian members of NATO will be offered a contract in accordance with the NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations. Newly recruited staff will be initially offered a definite duration contract of three years. Thereafter, an indefinite duration contract might be offered.
