The United Nations Support Office in Haiti (UNSOH) is a new office established to provide logistical and operational support for the new UN-backed Gang Suppression Force (GSF), the Haitian National Police (HNP), and the Haitian Armed Forces. Its mandate includes providing essentials like rations, medical care, transportation, and strategic communications to the GSF, and technical assistance to the OAS. The office was established following the Security Council’s decision to transform the previous Multinational Security Support (MSS) mission into the more robust GSF.
