ACF started operations in Yemen since 2012 with specific focus on activities related to Nutrition & Health, WASH, MHPSS (Mental Health and Psychosocial Support-Protection) and FSL (Food Security and Livelihoods). Currently we have 74 national staff and 7 international staff with the possibility of expansion. The coordination office is located in Sana’a where this position will be based with frequent travels to other field locations to supervise the HR team in Sana’a as well as provide technical support and guidance to the field HR team which includes the HR Manager, Senior HR Officer and HR Assistant. The Country Office is made up of diverse team located in various field offices (Aden, Hodeida and Alkhokha) having technical, operational and support capabilities with additional technical support provided through France HQ. Our team is running operations of approximatively 7 million Euros funded by main donors which includes ECHO, GAC, OCHA-YHF and CDCS.
Under the supervision of the Country Director, you will lead the HR Department of the Yemen mission to define HR policy for the mission and coordinate its implementation and deployment throughout the mission in order to provide optimum support to programs. More precisely, you will :
You hold a degree in Human Resources with a minimum of 7 years experiences working an International Non-Governmental Organisation (INGO) on a similar position in the field. You have experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures in a consistent manner. You are able to effectively manage the HR team, interact with colleagues from other departments and communicate with employees at all levels. You write clear and concise HR reports, meet deadlines and you already managed a team remotely.
You have a strong working knowledge of English (spoken and written) and Arabic will be an added advantage.
