POSITION TITLE:      Counter Trafficking in Person (CTIP) Program Administration Intern

DURATION:                Up to six months starting in January 2022 

REPORTS TO:             Assigned Program Associate

LOCATION:               Remote/Arlington, VA Office

BACKGROUND:

Winrock International is seeking applicants for the position of intern for Winrock’s Counter Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) programs. Winrock implements a diverse portfolio of CTIP and safe migration programs throughout Asia and Latin America/Caribbean that work to strengthen actions to promote rights-based migration, reduce the vulnerability of at-risk populations to all forms of trafficking in persons (TIP), and improve identification and assistance to TIP survivors.

This is an excellent opportunity for current students or recent graduates who would like to learn about the CTIP project cycle, from planning, to executing activities, to monitoring and documenting results.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Winrock International is looking for a short-term, paid intern who can provide remote support to Winrock CTIP project in Central Asia and other regions, including in functions related to editing project documents, expenditure tracking, project administration and documentation (grant management, consultancies, procurement), and file management.

ESSENTIAL REPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide administrative support in planning, developing, and reviewing project activities and deliverables
• Contribute to, edit, and format project plans, tools, and reports highlighting the progress and impact of activities
• Coordinate internal approvals with Winrock operation support units and assist with processing consultancy agreements, procurements, and related payments
• Organize project-specific SharePoint sites, ensuring files are saved, complete, and regularly updated
• Review and assist in drafting/editing communications materials and publications, including newsletters, brochures, two-pagers
• Develop an array of visuals/infographic related to project work
• Contribute to desk research, analysis, manual and tool development, concept writing, and proposal development (preparation of capabilities statements, drafting and editing CVs, supporting recruitment efforts)
• Attend relevant CTIP and migration external events and disseminate information to HREE team
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Recent graduate or final year student.
• Demonstrated writing and editing skills required
• Written and verbal fluency in English language required
• Relevant focus area related to international development, human rights, human trafficking, economics and livelihood development
• Strong analytical and research skills desired
• Budget management skills desired
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, ability to think critically and work independently
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) strongly desired
