The US Programs Deputy Director position will report to the Executive Director and perform the following duties: Represent the program with external donors, communities, partners, and potential partners at a very senior level, build CARE’s local-partner network along the Gulf Coast and nationally, take on staff management roles, including the Program Manager and Program Officer, lead in the development and execution of US Programs’ Measurement, Evaluation, and Learning framework, lead CARE’s emergency response work, and assist Executive Director with fundraising efforts.

Qualifications:

  • College degree (public policy, sociology, liberal arts, social sciences, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Over 7 years Experience managing non-profit programs two of which must be in emergency/relief operations.
  • Experience managing diverse teams
  • Able to demonstrate prior experience working with Partners.
  • Strong writing skills
  • Experience communicating with external partners
