The Gender, Racial, and Ethnic Justice (GREJ) team is hiring a Program Assistant (PA) to support a Program Officer (PO) and a Senior Program Officer (SPO). The PA plays a pivotal role in managing the Program Officers’ calendar of appointments, meetings and work-related travel. Additionally, the PA will help support various activities for the PO/SPO such as managing the logistics of convenings, site visits and meetings, managing grantee and partner communications and follow-up, and acting as an important line of communication between grantees and partners and the program team more generally.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, organized, problem solver who is a self-starter and remains calm and gracious in high-pressure situations. A successful PA can take direction from multiple people while managing competing priorities and should feel comfortable collaborating with people of all levels and backgrounds.
The Ford Foundation is committed to practicing salary transparency. The compensation for the GREJ Program Assistant is at minimum $75,000 and maximum is $87,000. This position is primarily a sedentary role. However, the person in this position may need to occasionally move about inside the office to liaise with internal staff, access files, office machinery and a copy machine/printer.
