ITS Vice Presidency Context:
Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) enables the WBG to achieve its mission of ending extreme poverty and promote shared prosperity in a sustainable way by delivering transformative information and technologies to its staff working in over 150 locations.
Our vision is to transform how the Bank Group accomplishes its mission through information and technology. In this fast-paced, ever-changing world, the formulation and implementation of the ITS strategy is an ongoing, iterative process of learning and adaptation developed through extensive consultations with business partners throughout the World Bank Group.
ITS shapes its strategy in response to changing business priorities and leverages new technologies to achieve three high-level business outcomes: business enablement, by providing Bank Group units with innovative digital tools and technologies to transform how they deliver value for their clients; empowerment & effectiveness, by ensuring that all Bank Group staff are connected, able to find information, and productive to accelerate the delivery of development solutions globally; and resilience, by equipping the Bank Group to provide risk-based cybersecurity and robust data protection for a global network and a growing cloud platform.
Implementation of the strategy is guided by three core principles. The first is to deliver solutions for business partners that are customer-centric, innovative, and transformative. The second is to provide the Bank Group with value for money with selective and standard technologies. The third principle is to excel at the basics by providing a high performing, robust, and resilient IT environment for the organization.
The ITS Enterprise Services unit, provides a wide range of technical services: data centers, system administration, database, middleware, cloud, enterprise monitoring and identity and access management.

Role
Experienced IT project management professional and a seasoned project manager, delivering multiple large, complex projects or programs that may impact multiple platforms and customers. Reports to Manager, Enterprise Infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
•Leads the project team for medium to large size project, through the project lifecycle.
•Maintains ongoing communication with business partners and management to manage expectations, provide status updates on project and discuss concerns. Is accountable for ensuring resolution of concerns/issues.
•Demonstrated written and oral communication skills with technical and non-technical staff. Ability to create professional presentations and present to all levels of management.
•Primary procurement liaison managing RFPs, IFBs and other procurement related communication.
•Leads the analysis of vendor proposals and the evaluation of build versus buy. Provides detailed analysis (such as ROI, business risk assessment) to management for review.
•Liaison with the vendors for orders, cost negotiation, contract management and any vendor related risks or changes
•Tracks, monitors, and develops reports on project. performance against expectations.
•Ensures all deliverables and commitments are met and the project is in compliance with relevant standards, laws, regulations and methodologies.
•Ensures the integration of the work of large teams and multiple vendors to deliver project success.
•Conducts post-implementation review of project to ensure objectives were met, and document lessons learned.
•Manages allocated resources (including financial, human resources and technology).
•In-depth knowledge of project management tools; utilizes them to monitor project plans, takes corrective steps to adjust anomalies. Good working knowledge of Azure Board is a big plus.
•Coordination of the team’s software and hardware renewals.
•Regularly monitor the Administrative and Capital budget in close consultation with the unit’s RM analyst and Manager.
•Take personal responsibility and accountability for timely response to client queries, requests or needs, working to remove obstacles that may impede execution or overall success.
•Take personal ownership and accountability to meet deadlines and achieve agreed-upon results.
Selection Criteria
Education: Master’s degree with 8 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of IT Infrastructure components and terminology, including cloud (AWS and Azure), server administration, storage, backup and security.
