Role Purpose:

 

To contribute in the promotion and protection of the IsDB brand and its leadership among internal audiences through the delivery of an effective internal communications strategy.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Support the delivery of internal communications activity for IsDB, to inform and engage key internal stakeholders within IsDB HQ and across all regional hubs.
  • Create consistently high-quality content for IsDB’s internal communications, such as newsletters, collateral and events.
  • Support in the successful organisation of events as required, such as town halls, by giving appropriate inputs in communication matters.
  • Partner and collaborate with colleagues in HR to advise on communications approach,messaging and other programmes to engage and motivate staff.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within IsDB to proactively identify stories to share with the internal audiences.
  • Support the President and IsDB leadership to raise their profiles with internal audiences and ensure consistency of messaging internally.
  • Share knowledge on the latest trends in PR and Communications management with colleagues in the Communications Division, IsDB and wider community.
  • Keep abreast with the latest and best practices in the areas of PR and Communications management and implement the same in IsDB.

 

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or any relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a global organisation, handling external communication with proven success.

 

Skills & Necessary Knowledge:

 

  • Interest in, and, good understanding of the global communications landscape.
  • Good understanding of current affairs and the stakeholder in the development arena.
  • Strong social and digital campaign experience.
  • Outstanding communications skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent writing and editorial skills, with an ability to put messages clearly and effectively.
  • Confident team-player who can create effective working relationships with colleagues.
  • Time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Digitally savvy, with excellent computer skills.

  • English (Mandatory).
  • Arabic (Preferred).
