Duties and Responsibilities
Under the Supervision of RCO Data and Results Management Officer, the intern will:

• Support the RCO Data and Results Management Officer in terms of a) data entry and administration of UN INFO, b) convening of UNSDCF Outcome Groups and c) preparation of UNCT Annual Results Report 2023.
• General support for RCO, including assistance in preparation of reports, conduct of research, preparation of correspondence and background briefs as required.
• Support the organisation of various activities and events, such as meetings and workshops for RCO and UN-interagency groups.
• Other tasks as required.

Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual’s background as well as the internship period.
Remuneration: Internship is unpaid
Duty station: Hybrid
Length: 3 months
Ideal start date: February 1, 2024.

Qualifications/special skills
Applicants must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements:

a. Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) or be a graduate with bachelor’s degree, Masters, PhD or equivalent.
d. Be computer literate in standard software applications.
e. Have demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter.
f. Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.

Preferred area of study:

Recent BA or Honours graduates or currently registered MA students majoring in either public administration, management, or business administration related field/s.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this internship, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of Armenian is desirable.
