JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

  • Manage ADBI’s social media channels to grow reach and engagement among target audiences.
  • Lead ADBI’s graphic design and audio visual (AV) production, including filming and editing video.
  • Lead ADBI’s podcast planning, production, distribution, and listener growth.
  • Social media channel/community engagement tracking and impact analysis.
  • Contribute to ADBI’s digital content strategy and its development.
  • Support special projects and outreach team’ work in publications, branding, and events when and as required.
  • Manage social media budget and payments, and annual budget planning.
  • Other projects as assigned by the Communications Specialist

Requirements

  • National of one of ADB’s member countries
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience and a university degree
  • English fluency
  • Solid writing, editing, organizational and interpersonal communications skills
  • Strong knowledge of social media landscape and best practices
  • Digital content production, multimedia development, and design skills
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience guiding and implementing successful digital campaigns and projects
  • Thrives under time pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of foreign affairs, economics, development, or financing agencies a plus
  • Experience overseas or in an international organization or NGO a plus.

Appointment Terms

The Social Media and Digital Content Consultant will be based in Tokyo for 2 years, with the possibility of extension based on performance and at ADBI’s sole discretion. The first year will be probationary and contracts would be offered annually.

Consultants serve for limited terms as independent contractors in a personal capacity. They are neither officers nor staff of ADBI. Consultants will work under the direct supervision of ADBI professional staff. They are expected to reside in Japan for the period of their assignment.
