The Office of the Director-General (DGO) provides global direction to the work of the Organization and the overall framework of WHO’s Constitution, so as to maximize the Organization-wide contribution to the work of Member States in achieving significant gains in public health. Situated within DGO, and in the context of the WHO transformation agenda, TIC (Transformation Implementation and Change) leads, facilitates, supports, and monitors processes for organizational change and continuous improvement. The Secretariat of the SDG3-GAP is a part of TIC, and TIC may also undertake other special priority initiatives. The SDG3 GAP brings together 13 multilateral agencies in closer collaboration to better support countries to achieve the health-related SDG targets by 2030. The Secretariat of SDG3 GAP coordinates and monitors the implementation of the SDG3 GAP, working closely with relevant technical units and the regional offices, and across the signatory agencies.

WHO salaries for staff in the Professional category are calculated in US dollars. The remuneration for the above position comprises an annual base salary starting at USD 77,326 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable), a variable post adjustment, which reflects the cost of living in a particular duty station, and currently amounts to USD 5780 per month for the duty station indicated above. Other benefits include 30 days of annual leave, allowances for dependent family members, home leave, and an education grant for dependent children.
