GIZ International Services is looking for a Team Leader for the EIB funded project Programme Management Support for the EU4U Advisory Programmein Moldova and Ukraine.

The overall objective of this assignment is to contribute to the recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine, as well as to the economic resilience of both Ukraine and Moldova and to their path to EU accession.

 

Your tasks

 

The Financial Sector Expert (m/f/d) will take primary responsibility for the identification, preparation and delivery of TA operations related to private sector, financial intermediaries and MSMEs. The position is expected to be part time, located in Luxembourg or Kyiv or Chisinau.

 

Your profile

 

Qualifications and skills

  • Master’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or other relevant subject
  • Excellent knowledge of English language
  • Knowledge of Ukrainian language is an asset
  • Additional professional qualifications or membership of relevant professional institutions related to a relevant sector is an asset

General professional experience

  • 10 years of relevant professional experience in financial sector development in emerging markets with a focus on SME banking

Specific professional experience

  • Experience on at least 3 technical assistance projects or programmes in SME banking and finance, including at least one as a team leader
  • Experience with EIB, EC or other IFI financed advisory programmes in financial sector development
  • Relevant experience in the Eastern Neighbourhood is an asset, more so if delivered in Moldova and/or Ukraine
