JOB DESCRIPTION

Result of Service
The consultant will support the maximization of the impact of the project in the Latin American Region by strengthening the regional partnership members’ capacities for implementing sustainability reporting requirements, including by facilitating sharing of experiences among the countries in the region.

Duties and Responsibilities
To increase the impact of the project, a series of regional activities will be implemented. With a view to facilitating these efforts, a regional consultant will be engaged to support the work of the Regional Partnership for the promotion of sustainability reporting in Latin America. Under the supervision of the Project Officers, the consultant will conduct the following activities: • Conduct outreach activities to key institutions in the target countries and international partners in order to increase the membership; and • Contribute to the organization and execution of meetings of the Regional Partnership for the promotion of sustainability reporting in Latin America which will take place 3-4 April 2024 and 9-10 July 2024. • Provide inputs to project activities in support of promoting sustainability reporting in the Latin American Region.
Qualifications/special skills
Advanced university degree (Master) in accounting, economics, finance, business administration or related field. At least 8 years of work experience in accounting, corporate reporting, sustainability reporting, finance, or related field, are required. Specific knowledge of corporate and sustainability reporting developments and standards at the international and regional level is required, in particular with relation to the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). Knowledge of the activities of the Latin American Partnership for the promotion of sustainability reporting is desirable.
Languages
Fluency in written and oral English and Spanish is required.
