Location: Ottawa, Canada (Hybrid Mode*)

You have:

  • A PhD or master’s degree in artificial intelligence, data science, cognitive science, evaluation, communications, or education.
  • Proficiency in French and English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant and recent experience communicating and translating science and evidence, sharing knowledge for various audiences, as well as assessing the progress of projects and individuals towards their stated objectives, all preferably within the context of issues on technology and international development. Experience working in a low and middle-income country (LMIC), particularly in Africa.
  • An in-depth understanding of the transformative potential of AI to advance development.
  • An enhanced command of knowledge translation for uptake and use.

You are interested in:

  • Providing intellectual advice for areas of the Program and ensuring that knowledge is documented, shared, translated into appropriate language or formats, and kept accessible for future reference.
  • Implementing knowledge management that weaves together research for impact, learning and collaboration, and monitoring and evaluation.
  • Supporting research projects to be needs-driven and solutions-oriented and engage in research for impact by reaching audiences for uptake and action.
  • Establishing knowledge infrastructures, learning processes, and communities of practice to curate and share knowledge among projects, funders, and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitating program-level learning across projects through a monitoring framework that links the AI4D theory of change, key indicators, and learning questions.
  • Joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion, and equity.

*Hybrid Mode: Have the flexibility to work in hybrid mode (Minimum 3 days out of 10 in the office).
