The Office of the Director-General (DGO) provides global direction to the work of the Organization and the overall framework of WHO’s Constitution, so as to maximize the Organization-wide contribution to the work of Member States in achieving significant gains in public health. Situated within DGO, and in the context of the WHO transformation agenda, TIC leads, facilitates, supports and monitors processes for organizational change and continuous improvement. The secretariat of SDG3-GAP is also a part of TIC (Transformation Implementation and Change), and TIC may also undertake other special priority initiatives.

WHO salaries for staff in the Professional category are calculated in US dollars. The remuneration for the above position comprises an annual base salary starting at USD 92,731 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable), a variable post adjustment, which reflects the cost of living in a particular duty station, and currently amounts to USD 6932 per month for the duty station indicated above. Other benefits include 30 days of annual leave, allowances for dependent family members, home leave, and an education grant for dependent children.
