DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of D/WIGOS, supported by SO-WIGOS Evolution /ONM, the incumbent will provide support to the Scientific Organizing Committee of the 8th WMO Workshop on the Impact of Various Observing Systems on Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) and Earth System Prediction (ESP) by performing the following duties:
a) Review the submitted presentations and contribute to preparation of the discussion sessions;

b) Collect and consolidate major outcomes of the discussion sessions;

c) Review posters, interact with the presenters and draft major recommendations from the poster sessions;

d) Participate in the final discussion of the workshop outcomes and recommendations;

e) Contribute to the preparation of the workshop report, taking into account anticipated design and evolution of components of the WMO Integrated Global Observing System (WIGOS) for NWP and ESP in general;

f) Provide advice and guidance on any organizational matters towards successful realization of the workshop;

g) Undertake any other tasks as requested by the Scientific Organizing Committee.
