UNRWA Digital Impact, Technology and Innovation Department (DITID) is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst who will be responsible for building analysis services reporting models, connecting to data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business Intelligence solutions. The consultant will report to Head, Enterprise Arch & Business Intelligence Unit (HQ-Amman).

Duties and Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The consultant will report to Head, Enterprise Arch & Business Intelligence Unit (HQ-Amman). The selected Business Intelligence Analyst consultant will be responsible for the following tasks: DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Analyze business requirements, provide possible solutions, and develop data models accordingly. • Design and develop Data warehouse dimensional models according to the provided business requirements. • Design and develop OLAP Database using SSAS database objects. • Develop ETL packages. • Design and develop reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using MS Power BI. • Manage data sets, ensure they are clean, accurate, and ready for analysis. • Implement appropriate access controls and data protection measures to ensure data security. • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data presented in the dashboards and reports. • Validate data and implement quality checks. • Troubleshoot data-related issues and maintain the Power BI infrastructure to ensure it is up-to-date and running smoothly. • Deployment and configuration packages for all created work components. • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness through data profiling, data cleansing, and other quality management techniques. • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas of improvement in business processes, and recommend changes based on data-driven insights. • Create and maintain documentation that includes the design, requirements, and user manuals. • Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. • At least six years of work experience in software application development and implementation. • Experience in design Reports and Dashboards using Microsoft Power BI connecting to OLAP cubes or any other data sources. • Experience and familiarity with Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, or SSIS. • Experience designing and building cubes for complex business requirements. • Experience in writing DAX /MDX expressions for Microsoft Analysis Services. • Experience in Microsoft Business Intelligence Architecture. • Previous experience as an ETL developer with strong data architecture knowledge around data warehousing concepts. • Clear and familiar understanding of the concepts and best practices of data warehouse. • Experience with SQL Server databases as a developer. • Knowledge of SQL indexing. • Fluency in written and spoken English is required. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS • Knowledge and skills in secondary tools such as Microsoft Azure, SQL data warehouse, Visual Studio, etc. • Experience in data preparation, data gateway and data warehousing projects. • Familiarity with ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS, and other JavaScript libraries. CONDITIONS OF SERVICE • The Consultant will be based in UNRWA HQA Amman – Jordan. • The duration of the Contract is 6-11 months, with the possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and continuing need and satisfactory performance. • The consultant will receive monthly fees of JOD 1098.90, equivalent to the G16 level of the UNRWA Jordan salary scale. 6 years of work experience in software application development and implementation. Experience in design Reports and Dashboards using Microsoft Power BI connecting to OLAP cubes or any other data sources.
