Background
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are core principles at UNDP:  we value diversity as an expression of the multiplicity of nations and cultures where we operate, we foster inclusion as a way of ensuring all personnel are empowered to contribute to our mission, and we ensure equity and fairness in all our actions. Taking a ‘leave no one behind’ approach to our diversity efforts means increasing representation of underserved populations. People who identify as belonging to marginalized or excluded populations are strongly encouraged to apply. Learn more about working at UNDP including our values and inspiring stories.
UNDP does not tolerate sexual exploitation and abuse, any kind of harassment, including sexual harassment, and discrimination. All selected candidates will, therefore, undergo rigorous reference and background checks.

To address the mid-term to long-term structural and socio-economic challenges in Jordan, a strengthened data lens and analysis for generating evidence is crucial to support the Government of Jordan (GoJ) through an integrated and comprehensive approach. Seeking to promote the importance of adopting the human security approach to designing more inclusive and holistic national responses, the Data Expansion for Human Security programme supports the Government of Jordan in developing and operationalizing enhanced national response and recovery models that ensure equitable access to social assistance for all through the application of the human security approach.

Implemented jointly by UNDP and WFP, the program aims to achieve its goals via expanding the data sets available to government of Jordan through the Food Security Outcomes Monitoring (FSOM) exercise regularly implemented by the National Aid Fund (NAF).

Hence, the program will build on the existing Food Security Outcomes Monitoring (FSOM) survey to collect and analyse holistic data on multiple dimensions related to human security from the context of food security, economic stability, social cohesion and environmental sustainability which are integral to safeguarding the rights and dignity of individuals and communities. The programme leverages existing partnerships and well-established and credible nationally validated tools to promote the importance of comprehensive data analysis through a human security lens to inform inclusive policies and interventions as well as local municipal capacity and preparedness.

The programme will also facilitate inclusive multi-stakeholder dialogue sessions to support and ensure ownership, sustainability, coherence in planning by different governmental stakeholders. The dialogue will include targeted focus group discussions and sessions with communities, civil society organizations and government entities. The dialogue sessions will promote the importance of adopting a holistic human security approach in programme design, data collection and in future planning.

A road map will be developed at the end of the programme by analysing and consolidating the findings of the survey, the feedback from the focus group discussions as well as the recommendations that will emerge from the dialogue sessions.
