Fall Mailing Intern

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fall Mailing intern to join our team. As a Fall Mailing intern, you will be responsible for conducting some research on fellows and articles from different media platforms for the fall mailing booklet, manage records on the Salesforce and managing some of the correspondence with the project manager and the correspondence team.
Key Responsibilities:
As a research intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Office (EO) and contributing to various tasks. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Research on Fellows and Articles:
  • Conduct research on Ashoka fellows for the Fall Mailing booklet. Gather information about their achievements, background, and contributions.
  • Explore articles from different media outlets related to our field. Summarize key points and identify relevant content for inclusion in the Fall booklet.

2. Correspondence Assistance:

  • Assist with email correspondence, scheduling, and follow-ups. Help manage communication between the EO and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain a professional tone and attention to detail in all written communication.

3. Highlighting Quotes for Fall Quote Card:

  • Identify impactful quotes from articles, interviews, or other sources. These quotes will be featured on our Fall quote card.
  • Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing graphics for the quote card.

4. Salesforce Data Updates:

  • Work within Salesforce to update and maintain contact records. Ensure accuracy and completeness of information.

5. Timely Delivery:

  • Meet deadlines consistently by efficiently transcribing and proofreading recorded materials.

6. Confidentiality and Discretion:

  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost professionalism, maintaining strict confidentiality protocols to ensure the privacy and security of the transcribed content and the individuals involved.

7. Communication Management:

  • Draft, edit, and proofread a variety of correspondence, including emails, letters, memos, and other written materials.

8. Teamwork:

  • Collaborate with Executive Office for effective communications and maintaining positive relationships with other cross functional teams.

9. Internal Collaboration:

  • Work closely with executive office, to align communication efforts, and ensure accurate representation of organizational goals and initiatives.

10. Time Management:

  • Manage multiple communication projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and prioritizing urgent requests to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

11. Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of all correspondence to identify and correct grammatical errors, formatting inconsistencies, and factual inaccuracies.

12. Research:

  • Conduct research and analysis on various topics/subjects utilizing both primary and secondary sources and provide well-structured reports and summaries of research findings, including data visualization when appropriate.

Qualification Requirement

Education:
  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a college or university program, preferably in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.

Research Skills:

  • Strong research skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from various sources.
  • Experience in analyzing articles and other media content.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a professional tone and attention to detail in all correspondence.

Technical Proficiency:
