The UNU Human Resources Office (HR-KL), as part of UNU Centre Administration, serves UNU’s Institutes and Offices in 16 locations around the world in the provision of human resources services. This includes HR policy and strategy, as well as business processes and systems and a core set of transactions in HR, including contract administration and global payroll. HR-KL is led by the Chief of Human Resources, who reports to the Director of Administration in Tokyo.
Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Chief of Human Resources, the HR Assistant is accountable for service provision, transactions and advice to internal clients on the full HR life cycle administration and Consultants. The incumbent interprets and applies the CTC policies, procedures and guidelines, establishes internal procedures, provides solutions to a wide spectrum of complex HR administrative issues, and where necessary ensure full compliance with the Staff Rules and Regulations.
The HR Assistant also works in close collaboration with UNU’s HR Focal Points and UNDP/GSSU in Copenhagen for resolving complex HR-related issues and information exchange.

Remuneration
The successful candidate will be employed under PSA contract. UNU offers an attractive compensation package including an annual net salary in the range of MRY 41,398 – MYR 50,230, commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. Benefits include 30 days annual leave and a health insurance scheme.
UNU is not liable for any taxes that may be levied on the remuneration you receive under this contract. Payment of any such taxes remains the sole responsibility of PSA holders.
Duration of contract
The duration of the initial contract is 1 year. This is Personnel Service Agreement (PSA) contract with UNU, with the possibility for renewal subject to requirements and satisfactory work performance. The combined duration on a PSA contract with UNU may not exceed six (6) years. The mandatory age of retirement for PSA holders is 65 years.
