Global Corporate Solutions and Corporate Real Estate

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and World Bank Group Chief Administration Officer (MDCAO), Global Corporate Solutions (GCS) brings together the functions of Corporate Security, Corporate Real Estate, and Corporate Services (such as food services, printing, travel, conferences, and translation and interpretation).

GCS’s Corporate Real Estate (GCSCR) division plays a crucial role in supporting IBRD, IDA, MIGA, and ICSID by developing and operating their real estate demands worldwide. GCSCR’s primary purpose is to create safe, cost effective, sustainable, and functional real estate solutions, enabling business units to perform their work program in line with the WBG’s mission to create a world free of poverty on a livable planet.

To achieve its purpose, GCSCR led by the Senior Manager, is structured into three divisions: (i) HQ Real Estate Development and Management (GCSHQ), which covers facilities based in Washington, DC, (ii) International Real Estate (GCSIR), responsible for facilities located overseas, and (iii) Corporate Real Estate Strategy & Planning (GCSSP), providing cross-cutting strategic planning and analysis and business support.

GCSCR is comprised of approximately 80 staff, leverages over 500 contractors, and manages an annual facilities capital investment plan of ~$100 million globally. GCSCR works closely with the Regions on the Bank’s more than 150 country offices and manages several of the Bank’s country offices.

Program Analyst, Corporate Real Estate Strategy & Planning

The Corporate Real Estate Program Analyst is responsible for managing data within the processes, systems, and tools that facilitate the delivery of corporate real estate solutions. This entails sourcing, maintaining, and optimizing data to support decision-making and enhance operational efficiency. This involves collaborating with space planners, transaction managers, project managers, facilities managers, facilities focal points, budget specialists, and various stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data, enabling effective management of corporate real estate assets.

The position is based in Chennai, India. The Program Analyst’s supervisor is in Washington, DC and the stakeholders are located at World Bank locations around the world.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•Source data from various channels and integrate into corporate real estate systems and tools, covering space planning, portfolio and transaction management, project management, and facilities management.

•Collaborate with GCSCR Space Planners, Transaction Managers, Project Managers, and Facilities Managers to gather real estate portfolio, projects, and operations updates. Liaise with Budget, Finance, and Transaction Specialists to update financial data.

•Maintain and update master data records within systems, developing quality assurance practices to audit, identify, and rectify data discrepancies and errors.

•Analyze data to generate insights and produce regular and tailored reports for strategic decision-making, including metrics, dashboards, operational reports, project reports, and executive reports. These reports are intended to cover individual properties, as well as regional and global portfolios.

•Analyze space allocation and utilization trends which will identify opportunities for space optimization.

•Manage project data, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, and monitor project progress in design and construction project management.

•Support Project Managers to initiate capital projects and the approval of funding documentation for capital disbursement. Guide Project Managers through the close out of capital projects and budgets. Provide technical and system support to Project Managers as needed.

•Continuously improve data quality and accuracy; including supporting the identification of opportunities for automation, and/or to introduce process efficiencies as needed.

•Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in real estate data analytics. recommend real estate industry standard technologies/software and best practices. Support the acquisition and implementation of emerging technologies.

 

Selection Criteria

 

•Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with 2 years of experience or bachelor’s degree with equivalent combination of education and experience.

•Proven analytical skills with demonstrated ability to conduct research and analysis, data mining, report generation, good narrative grasp of ‘the story behind the numbers’, and ability to articulate issues and recommend solutions to aid management in decision-making.

•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point, including advanced spreadsheet design (pivot tables, graphs, charts, and formulas), lookup tables, manipulation, and analysis skills.

•Proficiency in database and business intelligence reporting tools, such as Microsoft Power Bi.

•Proficiency in written and oral English is required. Other languages proficiencies will be an added advantage.

•Strong oral and written communications and presentation skills, ability to translate complex data for a variety of audiences, and experience with preparing client-ready materials.

•Strong quality control orientation; attention to detail.

•Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.

•High level of integrity, tact and discretion when managing sensitive information.

•Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, showcasing the capacity to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and pay attention to details while remaining focused on key priorities.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to articulate and convey information effectively.

•Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating client orientation, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented, multicultural environment. Adept at fostering relationships and assisting colleagues to successfully complete projects and meet diverse reporting commitments within tight deadlines.
