JOB DESCRIPTION

SCOPE OF WORK:

The IRC’s Home Study and Post-Release Services (HSPRS) programs for unaccompanied children in the U.S. is growing from six current IRC offices to more than 17 offices throughout the US. This is a national, multi-million-dollar project with ambitious delivery goals in a short time frame. The goals of the Home-Study Post Release Services Program (HS/PRS) are to:

  • Assess the safety and suitability of a sponsor before an unaccompanied child is released from custody into a sponsor’s care (Home Study)
  • Provide case management support via remote and / or conducting in-home visits to ensure the continued safety and stability of children in sponsor’s homes and linking children to resources in the community (Post Release Services).
    • Create and execute a workplan related to all HS/PRS projects to be completed by September 2024, ensuring that timelines and deliverables are met.

This position is short-term position designed to effectively manage high-paced, surge support from June through September 2024 to ensure that a high number of children are effectively and compassionately served.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Arrange and conduct regular meetings with the HS/PRS leadership to update on progress related to projects.
  • Coordinating among different IRC teams including but not limited to Global Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, HR, and Resource, Acquisition and Learning
  • Provide leadership and overall management of all aspects of HS/PRS surge staffing, including:
    • Conducting a full review of operational needs for staffing surge support and making recommendations to HS/PRS leadership based on analysis
    • Liaising with and coordinating among multiple departments within IRC to ensure timely execution of surge support
    • Arranging procurement and timely distribution of equipment related to surge staffing
    • Coordinating travel logistics and resolving issues as needed
    • Coordinating invoicing and reimbursement related to surge support
    • Coordinating software licensing and set-up related to surge support
    • Coordination and technical support to the HS/PRS team on issues related to data visualization, including:
      • Conducting a needs assessment among HS/PRS staff
      • Articulating needs in a clear and concise way to Power Bi contractor
      • Ensuring delivery of needed data dashboards
      • Creating a sustainability plan for Power Bi dashboards

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Work Experience:

  • Relevant professional experience in human services and quality assurance experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience is required.
  • Experience working with unaccompanied children, refugee and/or immigrant populations strongly preferred.
  • Experience with IRC systems such as Integra, PEERS, and ETO preferred.

Demonstrated Skills & Competencies:

  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • Project management with multiple stakeholders.
    • Emergency response and tight timeline projects
    • Developing and adhering to workplans
  • Ability to interact with finance software and systems
  • Experience in working with supply chain and multiple vendors to manage procurement.
  • Experience in engaging and managing consultants.
  • Ability to ensure project management is compliant with an organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate among diverse and diffuse stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient delivery of project goals.
  • Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills; ability to effectively build internal and external relationships.
  • Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.
  • Must be cleared and approved by Office of Refugee Resettlement and background check including FBI fingerprints and Child Abuse and Neglect checks required upon hire (initiated by IRC after acceptance of the position).

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
