UNHCR New York Office is the branch of the Executive Office, involving high-level policy discussions and advocacy of UNHCR’s mandate amongst Member States, UN Agencies and Civil Society. The Consultant will focus on ECOSOC Humanitarian Affairs Segment (HAS) in May/June; other ECOSOC meetings in July; update trends analysis of UN resolution on “Strengthening of the coordination of emergency humanitarian assistance of the United Nations”; update analyses of UNHCR’s Omnibus resolution and resolution on “Assistance to refugees, returnees and displaced persons in Africa”.
