The European Investment Fund (EIF) is seeking to recruit for its Central Front Office Services Department (“CFOS”) – Resource Planning, Corporate Operational Plan (“COP”) Coordination and Performance Monitoring Division at its headquarters in Luxembourg, several (Senior) Officers. This is a full-time position at grade 4/5 for which the EIF offers a permanent contract.
This is a generic campaign in the view of both current and possible future vacancies.
Panel interviews via video-conference are anticipated for July 2024.
Purpose
Part of the EIB Group, the mission of the European Investment Fund (EIF) is to improve access to finance for SMEs and small mid-caps in Europe. We do this by supporting emerging and established fund managers with equity investments and by designing debt financing instruments that share the risk taken by financial institutions when they lend to or invest in small businesses. We bring this support closer to entrepreneurs through our extensive network of partners and financial intermediaries in all EU Member States and associated countries.
Operating network
• Report directly to the Head of Unit of Resource Planning and COP Coordination;
• Manage horizontal processes across the Investment Office, i.e. to work closely with the EIF product development, mandate origination investment and client services teams;
• Cooperate with internal stakeholders across the EIF, such as Risk Management, Compliance and Finance, facilitating exchanges laterally pertaining to the Investment Office.
Responsibilities
At a level commensurate with your experience and seniority, you will:
Ensure consistency between the EIF strategic objectives, investment and fundraising efforts by supporting and coordinating the relative teams in planning resources and steering their activity;
Coordinate the allocation of new investment proposals to EIF-managed mandates and portfolios;
Provide the Chief Investment Officer, Directors and other key EIF stakeholders with the information needed to manage the EIF investment and fundraising activity effectively. Contribute to the development of the related IT infrastructure (e.g. dashboards), by means of consolidating stakeholders’ needs. Support the Head of Unit in the preparation of the Corporate Operational Plan;
Develop the division’s data management processes in close collaboration with Business Support division within the department. Proactively identify processes that can be improved or automated. Liaise across the Investment Office and with the digitalisation teams on their successful and timely implementation, focusing on own and stakeholders’ needs;
Qualifications
University degree, preferably at post-graduate level in finance, economics, STEM, IT, or related subjects;
At least three (3) years and no more than five (5) years of post-graduation (after having obtained your initial university diploma) relevant professional experience at the same level of responsibility;
• Any – or combination – of the following would be considered an advantage:
• An excellent knowledge of English (oral and written); knowledge of other European languages would be considered an advantage.
