How can you make a difference?
The Supply and Logistics Specialist reports to the Regional Supply and Logistics Manager and is responsible for managing the supply chains operations. This includes planning, procurement, customs clearance, overseeing warehousing operations, regional transport and distribution, as well as monitoring of supplies and services.
The incumbent supports management collaboration with programmes in defining supply interventions to meet programmatic needs and achieve results for children, and provides technical and advisory support to governments, national systems and partners on supply chain management, including coordination on the response to emergencies with EMOPS, SD and other HQ divisions.
The incumbent will be on alert for immediate deployment to Emergency sites, both on ongoing emergencies [Haiti L3, Migration Crisis L1 (multi-country emergency)] and sudden onset emergencies.

Mobility is a condition of international professional employment with UNICEF and an underlying premise of the international civil service.
UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station, which will be facilitated by UNICEF, is required for IP positions. Appointments are also subject to inoculation (vaccination) requirements, including against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid). Should you be selected for a position with UNICEF, you either must be inoculated as required or receive a medical exemption from the relevant department of the UN. Otherwise, the selection will be cancelled.
