JOB DESCRIPTION

The purpose of Protection Information Management Officer position is to to support Protection WB learning, project and program management with data collection, quality control, reporting, developing and maintaining of the Protection Information Management System (IMS).

Specific responsibilities 

  •  Support and contribute to the development and maintenance of Protection data management system, including through design, documentation, implementation, and harmonisation of standardizes information flow of that allows for protection information triangulation and trend analysis.
  • Guarantee information flow, storage and archiving of data and ensures data analysis and
  • Visualization.
  • Ensure the protection of data according to NRC’s standard requirement.
  • Provides quality control and oversight of the data that is being collected and identifies and
  • addresses errors in collection or input.
  • Provides training and support to NRC staff on data capture, analysis, and use.
  • Liaises with other units on areas of common responsibility.
  • Support Protection Case Management database, Protection monitoring tracking system, Civilian Self Protection data and
  • Protection referral tracking system
  • Support Civilian Self protection data collection, analysis and management.
  • Produces detailed, relevant and high-quality qualitative and quantitative reports and alerts as
  • quested.
  • Participate in documentation of the project for lessons learnt and provide inputs and feedback to
  • Protection Project Manager, specialist and coordinator
  • 3+ years of experience from working within technical expertise / recovery context, preferably including M&E capacity and systems development, data management, data analysis
  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal
  • High education in information technology and/or social science or another related field
  • Experience with and knowledge of principles and current approaches to monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning in relief and development programs, using both quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Experience with various data entries, systematization and analyses
