Action Contre La Faim ACF) has been operational since 2010 in Northeast and has been able to successfully implement integrated programs in Nutrition, Health, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) and Water, sanitation and Hygiene (WASH).. further the mission has expanded its programs in the wake of conflict in Borno state since 2017 , focusing on long term sustainable programs focused on system strengthening for Health, WASH, Social Protection, and Agriculture sectors.. The mission is currently in the process to launch response in the Northwest Nigeria. In 2018, ACF launched the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) in Nigeria in an effort to address the urgent humanitarian assistance to the displaced populations in Northern Nigeria. With this Approach ACF is among the lead agency that is currently reaching the NE &NW regions with Rapid Humanitarian assistance for to the conflict and other disaster affected population.

The Nigerian security environment is volatile, especially in the NE and North West, where the mission is operating. Specific to the NE, the non-state armed groups(NSAG) regular attacks to the military, government and humanitarian installations has made majority of the locations inaccessible and the mission has prioritized use of UNHAS chopper while completely banned its staff from using road transport.

This role will be stationed in Abuja with frequent travel to the field office to provide technical support to teams.

We are looking for a Deputy Logistic Head Of Department, in order to define the country procurement strategy in collaboration with the Logistics Head of Department.

More precisely, you will be responsible for the following missions:

  • Define the country procurement strategy in collaboration with the Logistics Head Of Department.
  • Coordinate the country office’s procurement. activities.
  • Manage the country office’s strategic procurement.
  • Ensure compliance of procurement activities in accordance with ACF and relevant donor procedures.
  • Ensure the country office’s procurement performance.
  • Supervise and support the procurement teams in the capital.
  • Assist the Logistics Head of Department.
  • Guarantee the procurement performance on the mission.

Votre profil

  • You hold A Bachelor degree in Business Administration OR Logistics OR Purchasing and Supply. A Certification in CIPS, Supply or Logistics would be desirable.
  • You have at least 3 years’ extensive experience in procurement and/or logistics capacity management and coordination, preferably in Humanitarian or development work.
  • You have an excellent people management skills combined with the ability and desire to further develop staff capacity.
  • You have a strong organization and management skills combined with the ability to coordinate a diverse range of people and responsibilities.
  • You have an ability to organize and prioritize workload, using initiative when appropriate and demonstrate good judgement.

Vos conditions d’emploi

  • 12 months contract under French legislation
  • Monthly gross salary from 2130€ to 2475€ upon experience
  • Per diem and living allowance: 832 Euros net, field paid
  • Monthly country allowance: 150 Euros
  • 16% of monthly gross salary as reimbursement of retirement insurance for non-French citizen
  • Child allowance, 1500€/year/child (capped to 6000€)
  • Coverage of transportation costs to and in the mission100% coverage of health contributions (social security + private insurance) and repatriation insurance
  • 25 days of paid leaves per year
  • 20 RnR per year. + 215 € at each RnR period
