Responsibilities:
Complexity & Problem Solving:
- Works independently, skillfully managing high volume workflows, and adeptly structures the work of other staff members within a highly matrixed organizational structure.
- Displays sensitivity to international and organizational cultural differences and understand political and ethical issues in assigned areas.
Expertise & Influence
- Demonstrated success in managing teams of data analysts and related staff to produce high-quality reports and actionable business intelligence on tight deadlines.
- Possess skills as a project and team leader and manager with a strategic vision.
- Be familiar with FHI 360’s strategic ambitions in all technical (program, research, advocacy) and geographic areas
Collaboration & Interaction:
- Liaise with the Vice President of Business Development and Partnerships for reporting on performance (e.g., quarterly Board of Directors meetings) and with the Vice President of Business Development and Partnerships for Leadership Business Dashboard.
- Collaborate with technical and program leaders on strategic and geographic priorities for market analytics.
- Link with owners of Costpoint, Vine, and other related tools and systems for effective tools and systems management.
- Must work effectively with cross-functional teams, including ISS, Finance, and Operations.
Task Management & Efficiency:
- Dedicate efforts to leading a multi-dimensional team.
- Make timely decisions and enforce timelines.
Embrace other duties as assigned, contributing to the team’s multifaceted and evolving responsibilities.
Requirements:
Knowledge & Skills:
- Prior work in a non-governmental organization (NGO) or with an international organization.
- Possesses a full understanding of the organizational structure, policies and practices, and the impact on own area and the entire organization.
- Proven ability to ensure that budgets, schedules, and performance requirements are met.
- Excellent and demonstrated leadership skills.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated business acumen and industry knowledge.
- Communication and storytelling with data are indispensable skills, including proficiency with data visualization tools.
- Microsoft Office and Salesforce skills and experience required.
- Experience with a broad range of tools and software such as Power BI, Vine, Costpoint, and related tools preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills in English.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in Business, Information Management, Operations, Analytics, Finance or Marketing.
- Typically requires a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in the areas of business management, program management, international development, and/or cross-cultural communication experience in progressively responsible positions.
- Relevant degree or its international equivalent, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience to perform job responsibilities effectively.
Certifications:
- Power BI certification preferred.
- Other data analytics certificates/certifications beneficial
Some roles may require specific certifications to demonstrate qualifications.
