Responsibilities: 

Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader, you will have the following responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Conducts the annual certifications for special member classes including Dependent Parents and disabled children.
  • Prepares waivers for medical coverage for management approval.
  • Coordinates bi-monthly Onboarding meetings sessions for New Hires and off-boarding meetings.
  • Calculates retiree medical insurance premiums, as well as premiums for survivors and dependents.
  • Enrolls new retirees in the medical insurance program in SAP and coordinates with the HR Service Center and Payroll Group (HRSC) the corresponding deductions and adjustments.
  • Reviews and updates all medical insurance published material for accuracy with current practices and Regulations.
  • Develops and delivers Training for the HRSC to ensure compliance with specific corporate Regulations.
  • Assists with resolution of member cases.
  • Supports financial team lead with audit and risk management required procedures.
  • Monitors implementation of the Family Planning Benefit based on the Staff Rule PE-370.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master’s (or equivalent) degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Health Economics, or related field is required. Certificates in Health/Claims Management, Health Insurance Management, or related field are highly desirable.
  • Experience: At least five (5) years of relevant and solid experience in managing medical insurance programs, ideally with self-funded medical plans. Demonstrated client management skills, with the ability to respond promptly, effectively and with good judgement. Financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills are necessary. International business environment experience is highly desired. Experience working in/with Latin America and the Caribbean is a plus. Works with minimal supervision, manages own time effectively, maintains control over all current projects/responsibilities. Follows up on all relevant issues. Excellent communication, partnering, presentation and influencing skills. Ability to manage multi-project workload within tight deadlines through strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

  • Excellent presentation skills to present and appropriately answer questions on the key points of the medical benefits program, Life, AD&D and LTD programs at important on-boarding and off-boarding seminars and to other audiences (which may be senior level) as requested.
