Responsibilities:
1. Provide timely information on implementation of projects/programmes in the region, in conformity with ILO policies and project strategies, and in accordance with ILO programming guidelines and with particular attention to gender responsiveness.
2. Select and summarize background information to describe the overall context and budget-related background relevant to a specific programme proposal.
3. Undertake research and analysis for specific sections and/or components of programme proposals.
4. Draft sections of project documents such as background or justification.
5. Analyze and interpret background documentation and resource allocation trends, identify and document significant programme achievements, deviations and operating decisions, and compile information and data required for decision making.
6. Draft sections of reports and documents such as programme briefs and resource allocation comparisons.
7. Monitor implementation of approved programmes, propose changes to priorities, approach and allocation of resources. Evaluate and recommend approval of programme changes. Participate in resources adjustment and review exercises.
8. Draft administrative decisions and recommendations for acceptance or revision of budget proposals on the basis of instructions from the supervisor.
9. Review programme monitoring reports and draft comments on designated aspects.
10. Carry out other duties as may be assigned under the activities pertaining to the Regional Programming Unit.
First-level university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in a relevant field such as in economics, business or public administration, social science or other related field.
At least three (3) years of relevant professional experience in programme management.
Excellent command of one ILO working language (French or English) and good knowledge of a second (French or English).
