Under the supervision of the Assistant Country Representative and overall guidance Representative or / and in close collaboration with the Project Coordinator his/her designated
mandated representative(s), the Planning, Monitoring, and Knowledge Management Officer will:
â— Support the establishment of a robust (Monitoring and Evaluation) M&E framework for the Japan funded Project, and create a strong linkage to the Sexual and Reproductive Health and other key related program framework; and engage all relevant staff to strengthen planning, implementation, oversight and monitoring of work plan activities;
â— Develop the result-based monitoring and reporting tools for the designated project
â— Provide technical support on (Result-Based Management) RBM and M&E, and institutionalize the use of developed M&E tools and plans to enable the project staff and implementing Partners, to effectively guide program delivery and ensure efficient utilization of funds;
â— Support quality assurance of the results frameworks of the project and align with the National Sexual and Reproductive Health program framework as well as the donor-funded programs,
â— Promote evidence-based programming by identifying data and knowledge gaps and the most efficient and effective ways of bridging the knowledge gaps;
â— Conduct Regular field monitoring with project staff to monitor the project implementation and ensure the availability of data to feed into the relevant project reports and ensure incorporation in dashboards and monitoring systems, such as GPS, Quantum, and SIS as well as the external reporting requirements;
â— Support the design and implementation of any thematic evaluations and end of program evaluations, as well as track the implementation and follow-up of evaluation recommendations;
â— Assist in knowledge sharing of results, lessons, and experiences across programme areas.
â— Carry out any other additional tasks assigned by the UNFPA Representative and Assistant Representative.
the field of development and population activities: increasingly responsible professional experience.
â— Experience in programme/ project management including experience in large multi-sector projects, designing and appraising proposals and actively liaising with relevant
and potential project partners;
â— Proven experience in coordinating/managing a multi-disciplinary team of staff, experts and consultants;
â— Experience in drafting and implementing legislation;
â— Field experience is an asset;
â— Prior experience in the UN system is an asset.
