Job Title: IFAK 2.0 and SSAFE Training National Consultant, 6 months, Ukraine (Remote)

Responsibilities:

The consultant will support UNICEF Ukraine in the following the following tasks:

  • Select appropriate training methods or activities (simulations, mentoring, etc.).
  • Provide necessary information about available training sessions to UN and INGO personnel.
  • Use known education principles and stay up to date on new training methods and techniques.
  • Assist in conduction of IFAK and SSAFE trainings for UN staff as well as other applicable medical first aid trainings compliant with global regional and national best practices, and current UNICEF guidelines.
  • Research and recommend new training matters and methods.
  • Develop content for applicable medical trainings.
  • Assist in implementing the first aid and emergency medicine procedures.
  • Assist in keeping all mandatory training procedures and plan up to date.
  • Adhere to UN mandated training plan.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medicine is mandatory. Master’s or higher degree in Medicine is beneficial.

Professional experience:

  • Minimum 5-year work experience in relevant area work experience in medicine and first aid.
  • Knowledge of the applicable to medical assistance rules and regulations in Ukraine.
  • Knowledge of UN/UNICEF recommended first aid and emergency medicine practices.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills, with ability to lead/train a group of individuals and impart knowledge.
  • Experience in conducting first aid trainings in different settings and modalities, or associated paramedic level training is required.
  • Experience of work with an international organization would be considered as a strong advantage.
  • Practical experience of work in public health institutions would be of great value.
