Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of the Chief of Individual Giving, the individual consultant will:

1. Onboard markets:

? Co-develop detailed plans with key SES stakeholders for the readiness of market deployment, implementation and operationalization of new technologies and techniques that will improve supporter engagement and experience.

? Model target market-adoption roadmap and economic impact, including operational and staff benefits, documenting fact-based impact across all areas supported by the new ecosystem, with the purpose of encouraging new market adoption in line with agreed timelines

? Ensure markets are properly briefed and aligned on all project governance structures while setting clear expectations on what is required in terms of resources, dedication, ownership, timelines and reporting requirements.

? Lead on all preparedness / pre-implementation tasks required for markets, including third party vendor contracting, market resourcing plans, PCI-readiness, documentation of “As-is” process flows and project planning.

? Ensure that the IG and ICTD teams are supported in the design and development of technical solutions by working closely with IG and ICTD product owners.

? Through leading the intense intervention, support the assessment and documentation of target markets practices in supporter engagement, with a view to close gaps in technology and techniques that improve engagement, while ensuring staff are upskilled and there is ongoing support for the new solutions implemented.

? Support ICTD, IG, and local markets in documenting business needs and ensuring they become technical requirements.

? Coordinate the needs assessment for each Country Office and, working closely with the IG Marketing Managers, develop recommendations that will improve marketing strategy.

? Coordinate supporter focused guidance in countries participating in the Core SES Solution that helps to define business goals and engagement standards; and develop country specific supporter life cycle strategies.

? Work with the Knowledge Management Specialist to roll out a comprehensive business learning curriculum that ensures the proper market adoption of new systems and techniques.

? Provide meaningful and consistent management metrics.

2. Lead Preparation Stage:

? Coordinate and successfully execute nine workstreams within each target market, working cross functionally with workstream leads in PFP, ICTD, Regional Support Centers and Country Offices and delivering to clear milestones as follows:

? Transfer the SES localization plan, including documentation, to the Implementing Lead for the execution of the Implementation Stage of each market-based SES project.

3. Provide Project Management, Coordination and Stewardship:

? Deliver overall project management of pre-implementation project phases across multiple, simultaneous markets and provide support and coordination during these phases to market based teams.

? Be an ambassador for UNICEF and its supporters, supporting the delivery of the SES Vision and ensuring that the organization’s profile and reputation are enhanced.

? Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.

? Support the planning and evolution of the SES Project Charter.

? Coordinate the documentation of each project, including lessons learned and appropriate processes to be implemented.

? Deliver high quality project records and documents to business and technical leads with clear descriptions of ongoing roles and maintenance activities.

? Undertake other project tasks as required by supervisors.

Requirements: 

Education:

* An Advanced university degree in Marketing, Communications, Non-profit or Business Management, or another relevant technical field is required,

* A first-level university degree with an additional 2 years of relevant professional work experience will be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.

Experience:

* A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in marketing, product development and project management, with experience in delivering results at global and individual market-levels is required.

* Demonstrated experience in developing new product market strategies is required.

* Expertise in change management tools and practices is required.

* At least 2 years working with fundraising operations, understanding of UNICEF fundraising operations is highly desirable.

* At least 10 years of experience as a principal in client service projects focused on satisfaction and loyalty is highly desirable.

* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in matrixed, multi-stakeholder projects with demonstrable results, and stakeholder satisfaction is highly desirable.

* Experience with digital campaigning using CRM (ex: Salesforce) is an asset.

Skills:

* Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external partners.

* Ability to manage multiple projects under time pressure with strict attention to detail.

* Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to translate complex business requirements into technical-based language, and vice versa.

* Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset.

* Passionate and energetic team member with a genuine interest in working in the international aid and development sector.
