Requirements: 

  • A university degree in business, economics, political science, finance, international development, public policy, education or a related field is required.
  • At least 2 years relevant professional experience. This could be in programmatic, program operations, or operations roles.
  • Operations experience is required, including logistics and administrative tasks, as well as experience with basic financial tasks such as low-value procurement and processing invoices.
  • Experience and practical skills in organizing travel logistics and managing office supplies.
  • Experience coordinating meetings and maintaining effective communication with counterparts, including government officials.
  • Experience drafting reports and presentations to various stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with local operational context of Sierra Leone.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language, Krio, is an asset.

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience or an interest in international development, the global education sector, and international aid is desirable.
