Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Programme Officer, the Intern will:
- Provide logistical support to various meetings, events and activities organized by the office.
- Draft minutes and / or take discussions notes or short informative notes of the office meetings and events.
- Provide assistance in communication with partners (invitations and confirmations).
- Attend relevant Office trainings, and/or thematic roundtables and actively participates in all capacity building activities, implemented within the UN Diversity Internship Program.
- Provide substantial contribution to accurate office documentation evidence, systematization and archiving.
- Provide support to planning and implementing human rights raising awareness and advocacy actions and social media campaigns.
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Mentor(s).
Requirements:
Eligibility requirements
- Completion of secondary education.
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate or higher degree programme or have graduated within the past two years.
Minimum qualifications / skills
- Good oral, written, and communication skills.
- Ability to work well with diverse groups of people.
- Comfortable talking with and interacting with others.
- Languages: fluency in Romanian and Russian, both oral and written. Good command of the English language is an asset. Knowledge of one or more other languages relevant for Moldova, including Bulgarian, Gagauz, Romani, Ukrainian or sign language, is an asset.
- Basic computer skills – operating MS Office programs. archiving computer files, online research capabilities; word processing, using spreadsheets and databases; creating presentations.
- Good understanding of social media networks; and being aware of social and ethical implications of internet use.
