Responsibilities:
Coordinate the MDT On-Call Expert Program:
- Serve as a first point of contact for mediators/experts and coordinate the work of mediators, coaches, and facilitators from various geographic regions;
- Manage the administration of the MDT on-call expert program including tracking activities of mediators, assigning cases, conducting regular check-in on case status, providing support as needed, assisting in drafting reports, and assisting in the preparation of facilitation and training sessions;
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of conflict resolution training and other relevant topics;
- Organize periodic meetings and in-person retreat for on-call experts, including coordinating schedules, setting the agenda, preparing materials, coordinating activities and meetings with stakeholders, vendors and third parties;
Serve as Special Projects officer to the Head of the Mediation Office:
- Support the Mediator and Head of Office with special projects;
- Draft talking points and prepare materials for board and management presentations;
- Benchmark and perform research related to MDT case management, policy, standards of practice and issue trends.
Coordinate cases and manage data:
- Overview of cases including meeting with visitors for initial consultation as needed, assigning cases to mediator, coach or facilitator, follow up on case progress;
- Extract data from various systems to perform analysis of usage and issue trends and analyze systemic issues and recommendations;
- Manage data integrity & confidential database including tracking caseload.
Lead the Mediation Office Externship Program:
- Overview the selection process including posting description, screening resumes, and assisting with interviews and selection of candidates;
- Attend externship fairs and build relationships with universities;
- Assign tasks and review work progress and development of externs.
Assist in the production of the annual report:
- Preparation of the Mediation Office’s Annual Report, including consolidating and analyzing data from cases; identifying systemic issues; drafting sections; coordinating editing and revision process, and reviewing final drafts prior to publication.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities in support of the Office of Mediation as requested.
Requirements:
- A Master’s Degree or equivalent in conflict resolution, organizational development, or the social sciences or a Bachelor’s degree supplemented with 6 years relevant work experience. Specific requirements Include:
- Experience in identifying data sources, interpreting data, visualizing data, and performing analyses for the purpose of problem solving and identification of trends;
- Experience in managing caseload, conducting research and developing reports;
- Proven experience in strategic planning and execution of global events.
- Effective time management and administrative skills, with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, willingness to learn new skills, and ability to take on additional responsibility;
- Strong interpersonal skills and respect for different points of view in a multicultural environment;
- Excellent organizational skills: ability to prioritize tasks when working on multiple assignments, and to deliver high-quality work under pressure and tight deadlines, with minimum supervision
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills in English. Proficiency in multiple languages is an asset;
