Responsibilities: 

Specific responsibilities 

  1. In coordination with Area Office hiring managers, manage recruitment requests as per NRC policies and procedures.
  2. Responsible for onboarding process for newly hired personnel and induction sessions.
  3. Responsible for contract management; draft employment contracts for new personnel and managing contract extensions for current NRC staff.
  4. Manage and follow up on the performance management cycle, including goal setting, check-in meetings, and end-term appraisals.
  5. Responsible for preparing monthly payroll reports, taking account of staff monthly benefits, allowances and deductions, and in coordination with Finance unit.
  6. Advise and answer queries on Admin and HR-related matters as per internal policies and NRC rules and regulations.
  7. Manage NRC People and ensure staff data and documents are up to date.
  8. Ensure staff are oriented and follow applicable leave management policies and procedures.
  9. Responsible for learning and development planning and implementation for Area Office.
  10. Monitor mandatory training completion status and follow up with staff and line managers.
  11. Respond to audit queries and compile related reports as requested.
  12. Responsible for staff onboarding and inductions, in addition to exit interviews and clearance.
  13. Follow up on CoC violations and conduct fact-finding processes and investigations for the cases to be handled by the CO.

Requirements: 

  • 3 to 5 years of Experience working as an HR Coordinator on a similar level in a humanitarian/recovery context
  • Previous experience working in complex and volatile contexts & handling insecure environment
  • Managing performance and development and resources to optimise results
  • Empowering and building trust
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
