Responsibilities:

Output 1:  Develop the scale-up plan of the urban governance project.

Deliverable 1.1: Elaborate strategic and technical inputs for the development and leadership of the urbanlead program (coordination of the national team of Urbanlead on regular basis to promote ownership and national leadership of the project coordination mechanism among the Urbanlead team and other stakeholders)

Deliverable 1.2 update and implement the Urbanlead training for new team at Wellaya and municipal level and representatives of different sectors (Youth, Schools, NGOs partners …)

Output 2 :  Develop multifaceted programs, and activities for health and wellbeing as outlined in the Global Framework at city and national levels

Deliverable 2.1:  Elaborate the multisectoral platform for health and wellbeing at the city level with community and civic representation including the mapping of programs/projects implemented by certain departments (municipality, environment, agriculture, transport, education, youth and sports…..etc.) on health and wellbeing.

Deliverable 2.2 coordinate the action for the integration of health and wellbeing component on ongoing programmes and other initiatives (Bloomberg partnership for Healthy Cities, Health Promoting schools, Physical Activities, Tobacco Free Initiative, Urban Health, women empowerment …).

Output 3: Develop a strategic roadmap for communities empowered to recognize the social and behavioural determinants of health and address them with community and civic engagement.  

Deliverable 3.1: Develop and implement the policy dialogue on health and wellbeing approach and the integration of the social determinants of health into all policies (Governorate/city/community).

Deliverable 3.2: Develop policy briefs on the role of local government on addressing social determinants of health.

Deliverable 3.3:  Develop policy briefs on healthy literacy assessment and planning for needed activities based on the outcome for community empowerment and meaningful engagement for health and wellbeing.

Requirements:

Essential: Master’s degree in public health.

Experience

Essential: Up to 10 years of experience in public health, health planning and healthy cities program.

Desirable: Experience for developing and monitoring policies and strategies is desired.

Skills/Knowledge

• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with NCD and their risk factors.

Languages and level required

Fluency in languages used in the country (Arabic, French, English)
