Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the recruited expert will generally assist in expediting, appraising, adjusting and monitoring the projects’ implementation, identify problems and utilizing information as an input to corrective actions to promote effective project management. Specifically, the following specific tasks will be undertaken:

In coordination with international experts,
develop TC project proposals, in particular on green economy by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, IRPF, theory of change, M&E framework, and risks mapping, all in accordance with UNIDO guideline and methodology |
Support provided to PM as requested incl. preparation of supporting documents and assistance in coordination efforts | ||
(vi) Appraise, review and adjust follow-up project proposals to ensure consistency with donor, regional and sectoral priorities and programmes, and with available resources. | Inputs provided to ensure alignment of project proposals with counterparts’ priorities | ||

Education: Advanced university degree in Political or Social Sciences, specifically statistics or economics, with a specialization in International Economics and Development Studies.
Technical and Functional Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years practical experience in the field of project M&E and management, including experience at the international level involving technical cooperation in developing countries. Exposure to the needs, conditions and problems in developing countries.
Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Fluency and/or working knowledge of another official UN language is an asset.
