Responsibilities:

  • Finalize a strategy for the hub’s civil society engagement
  • Strengthen and develop the network; maintaining relationships with current members while identifying and setting up new relationships according to the hub’s analytical needs and strategic objectives
  • Conduct a learning needs analysis of civil society actors, related to assessment and analysis needs. Support the development of capacity building activities to meet these needs
  • Ensure the database on civil society actors and key experts for UAH is maintained and kept up to date, respecting confidentiality and data protection rules and that relevant actors are included/consulted in the development and analysis phase of relevant hub products
  • Support the analysis team to develop qualitative tools for interviews and help identify relevant experts to consult for different products
  • Support analysts in qualitative data collection and conduct key informant interviews as required
  • Liaise with the analysis team to convene members of the expert network for joint analysis sessions, validation sessions, or feedback sessions as needed
  • Complete other tasks as requested by the Team Lead

Requirements:

  • Relevant university degree or higher education, preferably in social sciences or international development
  • Excellent knowledge of Ukrainian politics, economics, and history
  • At least five years of experience in civil society or humanitarian work
  • Large professional networks within Ukrainian civil society and/or Ukrainian humanitarian response structures
  • At least 3 years experience of coordination or project management work and ideally experience coordinating networks
  • Ability to show initiative and be independent in performing one’s tasks
  • Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and turn around material rapidly
  • Outstanding coordination, communication, and inter-personal skills
  • Flexibility
  • Strong knowledge in qualitative methods, including key informants’ techniques
  • Skilled in handling sensitive and confidential data and maintaining discretion
  • Desirable: Experience in analysis or data collection, understanding of humanitarian needs assessments and working with primary and secondary data, experience designing and/or carrying out research (primary, secondary, or both)

Language and communication

  • Very strong communication skills, both written and oral, including active listening, respectful communication, and knowledge and adaptation to different communications styles and preferences within the team
  • Fluent written and spoken Ukrainian and English required
