Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with Program Manager, Technical Advisors and ACCM department, develop and implement strategies to ensure clear guidance for the quality program delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strategies for an effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting systems (including documentation of activities), to ensure the effectiveness of project implementation.
  • Be the point of person in organizing the implementation of the project activities in the field.
  • In coordination with ACCM Department, organize and implement related campaign and educational activities for and with the target beneficiaries.
  • Act as point of person for the project to liaise with local stakeholders.
  • Ensure programs are implemented in ways responsive to the communities, and children in line with Save the Children principles, values and strategic plan and following Save the Children compliance procedures.
  • Plan and organize the day-to-day implementation of project activities (will include preparing of workshops/meetings/events and monitoring of team workplans) to ensure the effectiveness and good quality of project interventions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the day-to-day implementation of all activities to ensure that program activities are delivered in line with the allocated budget and resources.
  • Work closely with MEAL team to ensure MEAL related aspects are incorporated into the project and are implemented accordingly in the project.
  • Conduct regular visits to program implementation areas, gather learning and feedback to inform discourse and plans for the project, the local government, and related stakeholders.
  • Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationship with local partners and with audiences that partnership is targeting.
  • Work closely with Program Manager to obtain support from other department within Save the Children to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
  • Support Program Manager to manage the daily program management and to achieve the standard KPI on program operations: Budget Versus Actual (BVA), supply chain efficiency, on time reporting and other related KPI as required by Save the Children.
  • Organize consultative and planning meetings.
  • Initiate the development of the progress reports of the project to ensure the provision of accurate and updated information prior submission to the Program Manager for further review
  • With Program Manager, actively participate in the monthly or weekly meetings with Save the Children Korea to provide update and the progress of the project.
  • Contribute to ensuring awareness and involvement in building and maintaining the brand in all project field sites and with all projects external stakeholders including partners.
  • Contribute to promoting an environment of continuous learning, where staff is encouraged and supported to grow and develop and are willing to be held accountable for their commitments.
  • Promote culture of high performance through implementing necessary processes to measure performance against key indicators at field office level.
  • Manage programmatic budget in close coordination with Program Manager.

Financial Management:

  • Together with Program Manager and Finance unit, prepare the Source of Fund (SOF) annual budget loader, first and second forecasts, and monthly projections
  • Ensure effective and efficient use of resources in line with Save the Children policies and procedures and donor requirements.
  • Support Program Manager to conduct regular budget monitoring, spending (Budget vs Actual spending) 5 days prior to financial hard close and proactively propose any modifications to expenditure plans and projections to contribute the achievement of actual versus forecast (within 3% variance)
  • Ensure the application of appropriate and accurate expenditures and administration requirement of overall project and cash advance of NGO partners, staff under her/his responsibility.
  • Coordinate with the finance unit to produce accurate and timely cash return and financial reports.

Partnership Management:

  • Under the guidance’s of the Program Manager, the Job holder will work closely with the implementing partners in the project area to ensure high quality programming and on time program delivery
  • Ensure the on-time reporting with high products of the monthly narrative and financial report of implementing partners
  • Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Job holder will develop capacity strengthening plan for the partners
  • Under the direction of Program Manager to lead the join monitoring visit with the implementing partners and capture the lesson learnt of the partnership works
  • In a close coordination with Program Manager to document the journey of partnership works
  • Initiate and maintain the collaboration and networks with diverse of partners including local civil societies, strategic partners, and coalitions

Humanitarian Response Management:

  • Participate the Indonesia Emergency Response Team and respond on emergencies affected in Indonesia in line with global SCI emergency policies.

Brand and Reputation:

  • Contribute to ensuring implementing partner are aware and are actively involved in building and maintaining the Save the Children brand in all project field sites and with all projects external stakeholders including program strategic partners

Communication and Representation:

  • Maintain clear and effective communications within team member and other program or support staff in the Save the Children Indonesia
  • Ensuring communication flow effectively between program, partners and other external stakeholder
  • Contribute to maintaining relationships with host government authorities of technical office up to district/city levels, NGO partners, donors and partner agencies, the UN system, and local and international NGOs including other members of Save the Children International.

General

  • Any other task & responsibilities given by the Supervisor and to comply with Save the Children and Save the Children Indonesia’s policies and practice with respect to child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in natural or social science or other relevant study and masters linked to environmental is highly desirable.
  • Recommended a minimum of 2 years of management experience in development sectors, community mobilization, behavioural change, including significant field implementation experiences on environmental or conservation agenda/issues.
  • An understanding of basic environmental issues in Indonesia.
  • Experience working with an international NGO or similar organization.
  • Solid project management skills with a proven history of delivering results.
  • Substantial experience and knowledge of effective financial and budgetary control Ability to analyse information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills in Bahasa or English.
  • Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches.
  • Demonstrated ability to write high quality reports and other project documents in Indonesian and English
