In partnership with the member state in Xiamen, Fujian, the demonstrated city for environment governance and ecological protection, a special initiative is launched for youth engagement and participation in climate action and ocean protection. The initiative aims to raise awareness of environmental protection of young people and empower the youth team to advocate for climate change with community movement.
We are looking for well-motivated Online Volunteers to actively participate in a program that includes workshops, dialogues, and multiple exploratory ecological projects.
The Online Volunteers should attend 2-3 (virtual) climate dialogues/exchanges and workshops, exchange and amplify youth voices on climate-related topics, and provide concrete feedback and reflections on the UN and member states’ actions in combating climate change and environmental protection.
The Online Volunteers should also support community awareness raising by advocating climate action and environmental protection through digital engagement. Each group (8-10 Online Volunteers) should take short video clips or design posters for themes such as climate action, water resource protection, mangrove protection, ecological protection, etc.
At least 3 messages in the format of videos, posters, photos, and texts should be posted on social media or other channels within 2 weeks from the start of the program, and necessary support will be extended by offering guidance and resources.
