Responsibilities:
- Contribute to developing and enhancing current and upcoming community health worker (CHW) interventions across the country, while acting as a reliable community health focal point for CHAI Zimbabwe country team and external partners.
- Support the government to develop and execute community health policies, strategies, and operational plans for a coordinated community health approach.
- Conduct collaborative situational analysis with relevant stakeholders of the existing CHW programs to highlight key strengths and weaknesses, and support the development of policies, strategies, and plans to address them.
- Provide technical and operational guidance in developing CHW reporting tools and support monthly tracking of CHW performance.
- Pursue opportunities for collaboration with other CHAI teams, helping to build a cross-cutting community of practice within the country and the organization.
- Monitor program activities against project goals, identify operational bottlenecks, anticipate risks, and be proactive in responding to them
- Supervise the financial administration of the program, encompassing the planning and control of the budget.
- Develop compelling communication materials, case studies, and peer-reviewed publications and represent CHAI at public fora and partner meetings
- Any other tasks assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as medicine, public health, health economics, financial management, or business preferred
- At least 3 years of program experience in complex, multi-output, results-oriented program environments in the public sector and/or private sector (e.g., service delivery, management consulting, financial services)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills, and ability to use data to inform program development and strategy and present results in narrative and graphic form.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and tactfully to a variety of audiences
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills required, including experience using Excel for quantitative analyses or costing.
- Proven ability to operate independently, multitask, and set and achieve ambitious targets with limited guidance
