Responsibilities:

– Data Collection and Compilation: Gather and compile Tanzania’s relevant climate data, including temperature, precipitation, sea level rise, extreme weather events, and other climatic variables, from various sources such as meteorological stations, satellite imagery, and scientific literature.
– Vulnerability analysis: Conduct vulnerability analysis using GIS to assess the vulnerability of different regions and sectors in Tanzania to climate change impacts, such as changes in land cover, water availability, agricultural productivity, and natural hazards.
– Through a combination (as applicable) of remote sensing, GIS, climate modeling, and stakeholder engagement, the exercise will produce detailed climate change maps and vulnerability assessments
Output:
– Mapping of Tanzania’s climate change vulnerability
– Methodology and impact report
