Responsibilities:

  • Manage fleet effectively, focusing on cost-effective route planning for delivery vehicles and coordinating dispatch activities.
  • Assist in conducting fleet management capacity assessments and support fleet surveys.
  • Maintain up-to-date vehicle records, including maintenance and service times, accidents, and vehicle ancillaries.
  • Ensure all vehicles are properly registered, licensed, and comply with statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with regional and central teams to support the Vehicle Cost Recovery Model for fleet management.
  • Schedule regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor driver behavior to ensure high level of customer service.
  • Participate in sourcing and purchasing new vehicles and oversee the sale or auction of used vehicles. • Develop local standards aligned with the Global Fleet for implementation.
  • Collaborate with the Global Fleet Team to develop vehicle and passenger security and safety procedures/systems.
  • Support the Director of Supply Chain in maintaining accurate vehicle records and entering data into ProFleet system.
  • Monitor IVMS/FMS data to ensure adherence to vehicle service intervals and control CO2 emissions.
  • Regularly review fleet size to maintain cost-effectiveness.
  • Organise driver/vehicle user training events and develop skills and standards to the highest safety standards.
  • Provide advice on fleet issues that affect overall operations.
  • Maintain timely communications with relevant supply chain functions within the organisation.
  • Liaise with international, government, non-government organisations, and local contractors on relevant vehicle and transport issues.
  • Perform assigned task my line manager under the scope of supply chain management as required

Requirements: 

  • Bachelors in Logistics, transport, management or equivalent is essential, Master’s degree an advantage
