Responsibilities:

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Implement M&E frameworks for new vaccine introduction projects.
  • Design data collection tools and methodologies to track vaccine rollout progress and impact.
  • Collect, manage, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data related to vaccine introduction and implementation.
  • Ensure the quality of data collected and address any data quality issues promptly and effectively
  • Create and maintain databases for tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports summarizing M&E findings, including progress against objectives, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, successes, and areas for improvement in vaccine introduction and implementation efforts.
  • Present findings to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Learning:

  • Develop and implement learning agendas to inform continuous improvement of vaccine introduction strategies.
  • Share best practices and lessons learned with the broader public health community.

Other Duties:

  • Stay updated on the latest developments in vaccine research, public health monitoring, and evaluation methodologies.
  • Assist in the development of grant proposals and funding reports as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the overall objectives of the organization

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, Computer Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in public health or vaccine programs.
    • Experience in data collection, management, and analysis.
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing M&E frameworks and tools.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R) and data visualization tools.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Knowledge of health information systems and electronic data collection tools is an advantage.
    • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
