Responsibilities:
ible for the management of on-going grants for a regional knowledge network for education officials and practitioners, plus applied research projects in partnership with a range of universities, think tanks and NGOs in Africa. You will support high-quality research, knowledge mobilization and communications to ensure that research makes a difference in the improvement of national education systems. You will offer support to project teams to ensure that evidence helps improve gender equality, equity, and inclusion in education, and you will help implement program-level knowledge synthesis, and monitoring and evaluation. You will help connect all aspects of the program with national, regional and global initiatives to mobilize evidence and innovation to strengthen education systems.
Requirements:
You have:
- PhD. (preferred) and a record of applied research and publications in a relevant discipline such as international comparative education OR Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with 10 years’ experience.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing and speaking).
- At least five years’ relevant experience, which includes demonstrated research and knowledge mobilization experience and understanding of current global education policy challenges.
- Significant experience with project/grant management, problem-solving and facilitating applied research as well as experience in communicating to a variety of audiences, monitoring and evaluation, and knowledge mobilization.
- A strong grasp of gender equality, equity and inclusion in the improvement of global education systems and the ability to build and maintain relationships with researchers, policy decision-makers, and actors who support education systems.
